Many years ago the famous maritime painter Stephen Card received a teak wooden name board when he was aboard the ss Rotterdam. Such name boards were used on tenders of the ss Rotterdam. This year he decided to donate it to our foundation. Transport from Bermuda to Rotterdam was facilitated by Captain Werner Timmers of the Nieuw Statendam. On April 18 the name board arrived safely in Rotterdam. The same day it has found a place in one of our showcases on board the ss Rotterdam. We are Stephen and Werner very grateful!
