On Friday January 19 the s.s. Rotterdam Infocenter was opened. You can take a look at the photo exhibition The Netherlands Photo museum showed during the first months of 2006. Cabin 212 has been built as it will be in future. There are a shop and a café.

You can visit the infocenter at the Brede Hilledijk 99a, about 200 meters west of Metrostation Rijnhaven, at Katendrecht, Rotterdam. Opening hours: Wednesday till Friday between 1 PM and 5 PM, Saturday and Sunday between 11 AM and 5 PM.
Entrance: free.

On December 1st 2007, during a crowded meeting of supporters of our foundation, the well known photographer Daniel van de Ven told about his work during the building and sea trials of the s.s. Rotterdam in 1959 [photos].

The day before the former top of the radarmast was erected in the infocenter. Captain Albert Schoonderbeek took care of the top to bring it back to the Netherlands. On January 19th 2008 in the infocenter the foundation thanked him for rescuing the top of the radarmast [ photos ].
